Why Norwich Museum District is a Great Opportunity.

Home to the Northeast Classic Car Museum, the largest auto museum in the Northeast, the Chenango County Historical Society and Museum, and the Bullthistle Model Railroad Museum, the Norwich Museum District attracts people from all over. The Streestscape improvement project would install new sidewalks and curbing with ADA compliant ramping, benches, wayfinding signs, burying above ground utility lines, facade improvements for residential homes, crosswalk striping, and more upgrades.

Economic / Social / Environmental Impact:
The Norwich Museum District is located at one of the main entrances into the City of Norwich. By having these streetscape improvements completed, it would be an excellent first impression to visitors. In addition, this project is an economic multiplier, with more visitors comes more money spent locally in our community at restaurants, downtown shops, and gas stations.
